Strategic Leadership Programme

Step up to the next level of leadership and take your organisation forward

=mc's Strategic Leadership Programme helps you develop a higher level skill set and be ready for greater responsibility. Through powerful managed feedback and expert tutor input, you improve your ability to act decisively – and effectively.

=mc’s Strategic Leadership Programme provided an excellent framework to drive our strategy forward. Not only that, but there will be a real impact on my own strategic thinking and the performance of my team.

  • create systematic innovation to drive change

  • use cutting edge tools to create successful strategy

Core modules

=mc's Strategic Leadership programme has, at its core, the well-established Kouzes and Posner Leadership Practices (LPI) model. This model offers you insights into the science of high achievement, which identifies successful leaders as those who are able to: challenge, inspire, enable, model and encourage.

The programme takes place over three intensive days combining of a number of modules:

  • Strategic thinking: a hallmark of a successful leader is the ability to think strategically. This module introduces you to the latest version of the Balanced Scorecard strategy map. You'll learn how to develop an organisational strategy map on the programme
  • Transformational leadership: you'll have a 360° assessment on your leadership style using the Leadership Practices. This will help you understand your preferred style - and develop the flexibility to transform how others perceive you as a leader
  • Integrated change: you'll access powerful tested tools to successfully analyse and implement changes in organisational culture and approach - while maintaining personal and team motivation
  • Coaching skills: you'll be offered insights into how to be an effective coach for other colleagues, giving them helpful and empowering feedback for both poor and good performance. You'll also have the chance to practise skills in a real situation
  • Innovation strategy: guided by one of =mc's innovation experts you'll learn how to embed innovation in your organisational culture and measure where you're effective
  • Creating an empowering culture: you'll explore the role of culture on team and organisational performance - and how you can contribute to the development and maintenance of a high achieving culture

workshop

Previously I'd treated strategy, leadership and change as seperate management disciplines to be dealt with one at a time. =mc's integrated approach has taught me never to look at these key areas in isolation, but always as part of a whole. For me this 'big picture' approach is what has moved me on from being a good manager to an effective leader.

Neil Binnell, Assistant Director, REACH Supported Living

This was an extremely useful three days which enabled me to make direct links between the theories and models we examined and my own environment. It focused my thinking and gave me space to identify the necessary actions to move Conservation forward. Definitely time well spent.
