Good to Great

You’re good but could you be great?

Good to Great is one of the most influential management books of the last ten years. Although originally developed for commercial organisations, =mc has spent three years applying it to the work of not-for-profit organisations in the UK, USA and Europe. This programme uses this experience to explore how participants can apply it in your organisation, department or team.

Benefits to you and your organisation

  • you’ll understand what ‘Great’ means, why it’s different from ‘Good’, and what ‘Great’ might mean for you
  • you’ll be able to implement the Good to Great model in your organisation
  • you’ll have a number of tools to audit current performance and identify areas for improvement

Core modules

  • What is ‘Great’ and why is it important?: understand the thinking and research behind the Good to Great model
  • Applying Good to Great in a non-profit setting: hear how =mc has applied the model to non-profit organisations
  • Structure of the model: the six principles behind the model and the three underlying disciplines: people, thinking, action.
  • Level 5 Leadership: find out what level 5 leadership is and how you can apply it
  • Get the right people on the bus: how do you identify and manage talent?
  • Confront the brutal facts: establish what the actual situation is in your organisation and how to engage with it.
