Improvements in confidence and commitment

Learning and development often has a powerful, positive impact on the way your staff feel. Although difficult to measure, improvements in motivation, engagement, confidence and commitment are all important outcomes.

There are a number of ways of determining these 'softer' results.

Focus groups

Focus groups are a great way to collect in-depth qualitative data – such as feelings and responses – before or after an intervention. We can help you to facilitate focus groups or train others in your organisation to do the same. We can also help you work out the best way of using and presenting the information that you gather from them.

Online surveys

For a broader sweep of less in depth information, online surveys are also an effective way of guaging this. For example, after a two year strategy review and redevelopment, involving a series of strategy workshops delivered by =mc, Sightsavers conducted a global staff survey. The results showed that 92% of staff said they understood the organisation's new vision and mission and 81% felt engaged and enthused about the future.

=mc is leading the way in training delivery – they are definitely one of the best providers that we have used. Their approaches are truly inspirational, practical and address real and current challenges in leadership. We receive consistently high feedback from staff. The programmes help participants to start the journey of releasing and developing their potential and encourage them to put learning into practice.

=mc has a wealth and breadth of knowledge, a terrific understanding and vast experience of the ethos and culture of the not-for-profit sector. This together with their 'anything is possible' approach made =mc an obvious choice for the RNLI to partner with, to develop and deliver in-house training for our staff.
