Fast-track recruitment programme launched for wannabe fundraising consultants
The Management Centre (=mc) today announced the launch of a new 18-month fast-track recruitment programme for talented fundraisers that would like to become consultants, but only have a few years of experience. Successful candidates will join the fundraising consultancy team at =mc as Development Consultants, with the opportunity to progress to full Fundraising Consultants at the end of the intensive training period.
The successful development consultants will report to Angela Cluff, =mc’s Principal Fundraising Consultant. =mc’s fundraising consultancy services cover 6 key areas:
Fundraising Audits & Strategy Development; Capital & Major Gift Campaigns; Organisational Reviews ; Start Ups; Income Generation for Local Authorities and Fundraising Training & Facilitation.
Bernard Ross, Director of The Management Centre, says: “There is a real need to build the next generation of fundraising consultants – people with fresh ideas, many of whom may be relatively new to the sector. I am a real believer that it’s not just experience that counts – it’s ambition, the ability to learn quickly, solve problems and communicate effectively.”
The fast-track fundraising consultant training and development period will vary according to individual experience and progress, but will follow a pattern similar to the one below:

| 1-6 Months | Shadowing consultancy assignments Coaching and live project review Advanced development training |
| 6-12 Months | =mc fundraising consultancy methodologies (Part 2) Strategic planning training |
| 12-18 Months | Develop fundraising speciality area (e.g. strategy, sponsorship) Take the lead on a consultancy project Attend major UK/international sector conference |
